Dominic Ziegler Memorial Singing

THIS PAGE IS NO LONGER MAINTAINED.

Visit the Bay Area Sacred Harp Web site for the latest information on singings.

I’ll leave this historical information up for now, just for old times’ sake.

An All-Day Singing in Honor of Dominic Ciavonne Ziegler
Dominic was a fine musician who sang tenor with the Berkeley local singing, and he was a welcoming singer who introduced many new people to Sacred Harp. This all-day singing carries on his legacy of good music and good friendships.

Post about the 2014 singing, from this blog.

Map and directions:
From Santa Rosa and the Bay area:
Take Highway 101 north to exit 503 Central Healdsburg. Go about a third of a mile, and take your first left onto Mill Street. Go under the freeway; Mill St. becomes Westside Rd. Stay on Westside Rd. for 2.3 miles, turn right onto Felta Rd., and the Felta Schoolhouse will be on the right just after Forman Lane. (Be warned: Google Maps places the Felta Schoolhouse too far down Felta Rd. — if you come to the West Side School, you’ve gone too far.)

Take Interstate 80 west to exit 33B CA-37 West, towards Santa Rosa. Take the exit for Highway 101 north, and follow the directions above.

Hi Caroline,
Tentatively Paul Wendt, who sings occasionally with the Palo Alto group, and I will come for part of the day, probably the afternoon singing. We’re going to the SF Folk Music Club’s Camp New Harmony about 10 miles east of Santa Rosa, that ends that New Years morning, but won’t decide on whether to detour north until that day, as it’ll depend on a lot of factors. But I hope to see you there,
Peter Ross

yes, we plan to attend. any vegetarians coming? would it be helpful to bring a dish that vegetarians can enjoy?

Glad you two are coming! Yay! I’m pretty sure there will be vegetarians — personally, I’m bringing both a meat dish and a no-meat dish.
